Apart from all these languages, India has the advantage of the English language being widely spoken and being the second language in India and in the education framework. So having a flair for languages not only reading or writing, but being able to speak and transcript can get you rewarding work and numerous projects across industries, especially in services and telecom. Just simply identify where you would use a particular language, be it in TV, Radio, Films, OTT Platforms, Education, Training etc., and then apply your skill sets here and see if your voice fits the requirement.
Make sure you have a demo show reel showcasing your talent in the required language. Keep it short and crisp, remember a client or a casting director who is looking for the language and voice fit will be able to identify the voice in just a few seconds of listening to your showreel, so ideally each voice sample should be of 15-20 seconds. The typical voice-over demo show reel should be about 90 seconds in total, so break the reel up into a few segments, showcasing various categories, your vocal range, character, modulation etc.
With India having so much to offer compared to other countries, don’t look at just one language, look at the expanse of languages that are available for you to voice and to work with.
